We are looking for talented professionals to fill the following vacancy in our Singapore office:


Research Editor, Special Interest Persons – Lower Threshold – Chinese & English


The role of the Research Editor for Special Interest Persons – Lower Threshold (SIP-LT) is to research and load onto editorial interface with accurate, high-quality records of individuals who meet specified coverage criteria and to ensure that volume targets are met.


Based on a set of guidelines, the Research Editor is expected to deliver the most comprehensive coverage possible required for the Dow Jones Watchlist audience. The Research Editor is also responsible for verifying the accuracy of the material he/she and other team members are adding to the database, including but limited to continual scanning and extraction from known information sources and by on-going monitoring for new sources. The Research Editor will also support the Desk Editor in identifying and dealing with quality issues and responding to client/sales queries and support the SIP-LT team in processing the addition of new data.


Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

  • Education to degree level 
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, knowledge of other Asian languages is an advantage
  • Research or editorial experience 
  • Strong knowledge of (and interest in) criminal news
  • Strong research, organizational and communication skills 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Flexible team player with a high level of initiative and self-motivation, to achieve business goals 
  • Able to handle large volumes of information and meet deadlines 
  • Excellent reading skills and eye for detail
