Reporting to the Marketing Projects Manager based in Hong Kong, this role is part of the global marketing projects team and supports The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones brands in Japan. This position is ideal for a creative and energetic candidate who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is resourceful, hands-on and to be accountable to both B2C and B2B marketing for an international media brand.
What are my accountabilities?
Provide general support for the Sales Team including administration, lead generation, creating sales materials and organising prospecting events for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal in Japan.
Scope, plan and deliver projects as required by the business.
Work on partnership marketing campaigns that complement the business objectives and meet marketing goals.
Lead event planning process for hosted and sponsored events including generating relevant and engaging event topics/ content, liaising with internal and external speakers, creating all on-site branding/materials, coordinating event logistics (venue search, price negotiations, on-site management) for events in Japan
Create pre- and post-event communications and compile post-event analysis report.
Assist the APAC communications team in liaising with key executives and stakeholders in Japan to help deliver positive communications outcomes.
Supporting the WSJ memberships program such as WSJ+ for partnership acquisition /negotiation and other administrative functions including VIP tickets deliveries, translation.
What do you need from me?
3 to 5 years of experience in marketing (prior experience in media industry desirable)
Fluent in English (business level) and Japanese (native level); both written and speaking.
Have had experience in translating materials from English to Japanese
Good relationship skills and an ability to operate within a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, multi-task and work in a virtual team environment.
Education to Bachelor’s degree level
